  • Provide support to maximize student success. This includes meeting with students to offer advising on academic planning, course selection, as well as preliminary transfer evaluation.
  • Manage and mitigate issues that negatively impact student success, including identification of and proactive outreach to at-risk students, and following up with students with warning grades and other referrals
  • Develop materials and conduct workshops/orientations to facilitate academic success, including collaboration activities with the Learning Resource Center and the Director of Student Affairs

  • Worked with inmates in Vermont facilities to design a restorative justice curriculum that is interesting and relevant to them by utilizing the circle process; 
  • Designed a restorative justice curriculum with two modules: one on theory, and one on practice which will be taught by Vermont Law School students to inmates in the LAPP program; 
  • Used findings to write a publishable paper or essay that analyzes inmate needs in restorative justice.

For paper: “Literary Anthropology and an Anthropology of Writers as … Anthropologists.” A committee drawn from current, past, and incoming Society for Humanistic Anthropology Presidents judge the papers on originality, creativity, clarity of writing, and most importantly, contribution to humanistic anthropology.
